Two Injured in Shooting Near School in France's Oise Department During Pickup Hours

Two men were shot and wounded near a school in France's Oise department on Friday, during the period when classes were ending, according to TF1 Info. The incident happened in a park, 20 Minutes reports, and caused panic among those present at the school pickup.

One suspect has been taken into custody, RTL reports. The condition of the two wounded men has not been detailed in the reporting available so far.

The shooting drew coverage from several French outlets, including TF1 Info, Le Parisien, franceinfo, 20 Minutes and RTL. Their headlines agree on the core facts: two people injured, a location near a school, and timing that coincided with the end of the school day. The Oise is a department in northern France, and the reports place the gunfire in a park setting rather than inside school grounds.

The fact that the shooting occurred at a moment when children and parents were leaving school is central to how the story has been reported. French outlets have treated the timing as a significant element of the incident.

Details remain limited. The reporting so far does not identify the wounded men, the suspect, or a possible motive, and it does not describe the weapon used or the exact sequence of events.

What to watch next: French authorities are expected to release further information about the suspect in custody and the circumstances of the shooting as the investigation proceeds.
